Longtime journalist, author of books and communications executive, Elisa Donel knew of no other specific talent than her passion for words. Then, exactly 15 years ago, she fell into the jewelry crafting by absolute chance.

“There is a lot in common in choosing one’s words and one’s tools, bits and pieces.  It’s all about the search for what goes with what, what translates better what you have in mind.  Words can take you through unchartered paths. So can pearls, crystals, gems and metal spacers.”

 

For many years, her designs were carefully kept into a solitary “hobby” corner, existing only for her pleasure and those of a few selected crowd. And then it grew, organically, strongly. Till it requested more. 

 

“My pieces are intentionally laborious and one-of-a-kind. Some can take days to be envisioned and built.”

 

Elisa’s multi-cultural background (she is French, Brazilian and American) has instilled in her a sense of curiosity for other people, other traditions. 

 

Her inspiration comes from a particular profile of woman, one who loves to make an silent but visual statement. Her pieces are created to help them do just that. At all times.
